I am a software engineer in Cosmostat Lab. I work on testing the WaveDiff model using real Euclid data..
WaveDiff is a novel data-driven point spread function (PSF) model developed by Dr. Tobias Liaudat, which has demonstrated better performance compared to existing state-of-the-art models. This PSF is then applied to accurately model the shape of galaxies, essential for weak lensing studies. Weak lensing, in turn, plays a crucial role in detecting dark matter, a key objective of the Euclid mission.
